Broadcast Alert Application

The InGenius Broadcast Alert Application drastically increases the penetration and timeliness of emergency notifications, providing a major improvement to an organization’s ability to reach its constituents in the case of unforeseen event. It provides extremely rapid reach to thousands of people via their 5330/5340 phone sets and via their PCs. No other enterprise phone vendor provides such a true mass notification solution.

The InGenius Broadcast Alert Application is comprised of three main elements:

  • A Console (web-based) application that operators use to generate and send out the Alert, and to monitor and report on the acknowledgements back (depending on severity of the Alert and options selected when the Alert was generated).
  • A phone-based application that monitors for broadcast alerts and notifies users via their Mitel 5330/5340 IP phone sets. Alerts are broadcast to all phones that are members of targeted zones simultaneously, and users can provide acknowledgements back to the Console operator via the phone (depending on severity of the Alert and options selected when the Alert was generated).
  • A PC application that monitors for Alerts, notifies PC users, and provides acknowledgements back to the Console operator (depending on severity of the Alert). The PC application can be deployed using standard Microsoft SMS-type deployment tools.

Additional features:

  • Messages can be tailored, and sent to only those groups of users affected.
  • The same system can be used for broad notification of users for non-emergency events and information.
